The Bershire and Alleghney RR. is HO Scale and has its own 30x60 building.

With a few of my modeling freinds, we started construction of the building in June of 1991, with the building finished, the Railroad was started in September of 1991,by January of 1992 the benchwork was finished and a single track mainline was completed enough to test run. The rest is history.

I will be adding more photos to the albums as we go along.

Imagine that you have been Transformed back in time to September,1935. It's a cloudless Autumn day and in this part of Eastern Pa. There is a nip in the air marking the end of summer. The leaves have not yet begun their annual Fall spectacular, but the show is not very far off. Not only does the air carry that Fall nip to your nose, but it also carries the distinct smell of Burning coal. in the distance you can hear the whistle of a Steam locomotive as it nears some remote grade crossing.

You are entering the world of theBerkshire and Alleghney Model Railroad, a model with the purpose of hauling Coal and Lumber out of this area of Pa., and providing the members of our groupe with hours of modeling and operation enjoyment.

B&A specifications:
  • 1500 ft. of main line plus sidings, yards and branch lines.
  • The operations are run using "Ship-it 6.0."
  • The train control is with Northcoast Wireless.
  • Track is Code 83 NS flex track.
  • Turnouts are #6 & #8; 90% are handlaid.
  • Minimum radius is 36"
